We strongly discourage sessions that focus on PowerPoint presentations.

Notes
- All presenters should be mindful of copyright regulations for presentation materials.
- Additional AV or internet services will be at the presenter’s expense.
Thinking About Your Topic
Presentations should provide meaningful learning experiences for participants and should not be used to promote sales of any products or programs. Consider sponsoring a breakout session or purchasing an exhibit table to promote your product, institution, or program.
Presenter Expectations
- All selected presenters are responsible for all expenses incurred with the meeting, including registration, housing, and travel. If your proposal is accepted, you will qualify for the member rate for the registration fee.
- All participating presenters should be listed in the proposal. Communication is only sent to the primary presenter. Primary presenters are responsible for sharing communication with co-presenters.
- Submitters should have commitment from all presenters that they will be a part of the program. The co-presenter(s) must agree to all the terms and conditions highlighted here to participate.
- Do not submit a proposal unless each presenter is available to appear on any day (June 20-22, 2026) at the conference. Accepted proposals will not be assigned a specific presentation date until three (3) months before the meeting.
- All presenters will receive an official confirmation email upon the proposal being accepted. Presenters must register by the date stated in the confirmation email to be confirmed for a session.
Important Details and Considerations
- Proposals are due by January 17, 2026.
- Sessions will be held at the OREGON CONVENTION CENTER, from June 20 – Tuesday, June 22, 2026.
- Educators Rising will provide a projector and screen for the presentation. Any additional AV or internet access will need to be arranged by the presenter at their own expense.
- Most of the conference audience will be middle and high school students who are Educators Rising members. Sessions specifically for collegiate students and an adult audience will be limited. To increase your chances of being accepted, your presentation should focus on middle and high school students while keeping in mind that college students, teachers, and administrators may also attend.
- We prefer interactive sessions to passive or theoretical.
- When considering the content of your presentation, you are strongly encouraged to use the content of the Educators Rising Standards to inform your choices.
- Sales pitches for products or services disguised as proposals will not be evaluated. Content perceived as commercial will not be accepted.
- Submission of a presentation does not guarantee participation in the program.
- Educators Rising reserves the right to revise presentation titles or edit the session description of selected presentations for Educators Rising promotional and program publications.
Session Evaluation
Proposals will be evaluated on these criteria:
- Is it clear what the attendees will learn from the session?
- Is the focus of the session appropriate for the strand selected?
- Is the topic important to the teaching and education community?
- Is the session interactive, providing active engagement between the presenter and the audience, and audience member to audience member?
- Does the session offer practical takeaways that future and current educators can implement easily?
Submit your proposal today and join us in encouraging future educators to teach with purpose and lead with passion!
