PDK International Scholarships

One of the many ways that PDK supports Educators Rising and fulfills its vision of cultivating great educators for tomorrow is through the PDK International Scholarship Program.

PDK International offers more than 30 scholarships, but — good news! — you only need to fill out one application. Our application is designed to capture any specific eligibility criteria designated by the donor(s), and you will be considered for all scholarships for which you are eligible! One-time and renewable awards range from $500 to $4,000.

Educators Rising National Honor Society

The Educators Rising Honor Society is a distinction that recognizes the academic accomplishments of our student members. This honor serves to elevate the image of teaching by highlighting high-achieving high school students who are dedicated to a career path in education.

To qualify for the Educators Rising Honor Society students must:

  • Be a high school junior or senior
  • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale, including grades from the first semester of the current academic year
  • Be an Active-level, national dues-paying member of Educators Rising
  • Pay a $5 application fee

The application period to be included in the Educators Rising National Honor Society for the 2023-2024 school year will open on February 12, 2024, with a deadline of April 30, 2024 to be included in the Educators Rising National Conference program. All applications must be received by May 31, 2024.

Educators Rising National Signing Day

Each year, Educators Rising celebrates upcoming high school graduates who have committed to pursuing a postsecondary degree in education by encouraging them to participate in an Educators Rising National Signing Day at the local level. The 2024 Educators Rising National Signing Day on May 7, 2024!

Teacher leaders print out customizable template certificates (found in the Teacher Leader Resources section of the Member Portal) for each student. Then, students will gather and sign the certificate to celebrate their commitment to the education profession.

Following these local events, each year at the Educators Rising National Conference, a ceremony is held for all seniors in attendance to sign national certificates. Learn more on your Membership Portal.
