How might this industry credential support your Grow Your Own Initiative?

Consider whether your district will hire your Educators Rising students as paraprofessionals when they complete their teaching practicum in college. This way, they can get paid during their student teaching, making coming back to work in your community even sweeter. If you have students who aspire to be paraprofessionals, this certification can assist them in their employability! Your district can hire former students as paraprofessionals because over 40 states accept the ParaPro to work in schools! In addition, over 25 states recognize the ParaPro as the CTE industry credential for the Education and Training Pathway.

For $65 per student (a discount of $20), you will get:

  • A practice test
  • A one-time ParaPro session key that never expires
  • The ability to make your school a testing site
  • The ability to take it right in your school
  • 1-1 immediate phone testing support between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST on the day of testing if testing between March 15, 2026, through June 15, 2026
  • Continued testing support if taken outside of this window

What do I need to do?

  1. Complete this ParaPro Order Form
  2. Complete this quick and easy Testing Site Application (Sites are instructed to select “No” for the question: “Publish Test Center Information on ETS website?” and enter Educators Rising with your school name to be identified as an EdRising partner) and click submit. Check out these tips! IT IS IMPORTANT TO IDENTIFY YOUR SCHOOL as Educators Rising – Name of High School for score reporting.
  3. Check out the Technology Requirements.

Important: On test day, school personnel should emphasize to students the importance of selecting their school as the score recipient BEFORE beginning the test. By selecting their school, students ensure that unofficial results can be printed out for them and that the school receives the official results approximately 2 weeks after test day. If the school is NOT selected prior to starting the test, you must wait for the official results to be mailed to the test taker approximately 2 weeks after the test is completed. Educators Rising CANNOT release student scores to anyone.

Next Steps

  • Once the order form has been received, you will get a confirmation email.
  • The order will be placed, and an invoice will be sent.
  • You will receive your session keys, practice test codes, and all testing requirements via email within 7-10 business days upon payment receipt.

When should we take the ParaPro?

Anytime! But the Testing Window for Educators Rising preferred support is March 15 – June 15, 2026, during which 1-1 immediate, specialized Educators Rising phone support will be available to only Educators Rising students/teachers. General technical support will still be available outside of this window, and session keys never expire!

What happens if my student does not pass the ParaPro?

Complete another ParaPro Order Form to order more session keys.
