In addition to breakout sessions, keynote speakers, and competitions, the 2026 Educators Rising National Conference offers current and future educators opportunities to learn, give back, and have fun! Below are some of the activities provided for students, teacher leaders, and friends of Educators Rising alike at the conference.
College and Innovation Fair
Are you looking for the best college program to support your future in education? Do you need advice about what comes next in your journey? Make sure to explore the College and Innovation Exhibit Fair! You will be able to use the scavenger hunt feature in our conference smartphone app to connect with our community of colleges and universities, programs, and organizations from across the country here to help inform you. Each booth will have a code to scan to help you earn points on the scavenger hunt. Visit them all for the chance to win a prize!
National Signing Event

⏰ Sign up by June 1.
Cheer on our graduating seniors from across the country as they celebrate their commitment to education, or join the festivities yourself in our third annual National Signing Event! Participants will be signing letters of commitment to continue to pursue education at the collegiate level, and we will capture the moment the way high school athletes do! Last year’s event was a highlight of the conference, and this year’s promises to be even larger.
Any graduating senior attending the conference is eligible for the event but pre-registration is required. Sign up before June 1, 2026 to participate. Fill out the application form today.
Eddy Bear Spirit Award
Show your chapter spirit throughout the conference for a chance to receive Educators Rising’s spirit bear, Eddy. Eddy will be awarded each day of the conference to a school that goes above and beyond to demonstrate the spirit of Educators Rising through teamwork, creativity, or service. The overall winner of our competitions will get to take Eddy home at the end of the conference!
Lip Sync Battle/Karaoke
Do you have what it takes to mouth the words to your favorite song for 90 seconds? Are your dance moves compelling enough to keep the crowd entertained? Watch your fellow rising educators bust out their best moves on Friday night! While you’re there, connect with old friends and meet some new ones, too. Enjoy great music as you lip sync on stage or sing along in the crowd — be sure to share your party photos using #EdRising26
Focus Group for Teacher Leaders | Sponsored by Study.com
Help Us Design the Next Generation of Teacher Preparation Pathways
Solving the teacher shortage requires more than recruitment—it demands new, accessible pathways into the profession built with direct input from the educators, administrators, and aspiring teachers who understand the pipeline’s challenges firsthand. Study.com is developing the Keys to College pathway, an alternative route that enables candidates to earn transferable, ACE-recommended college credit at a reduced cost and accelerate their journey to an educator preparation program. But we can’t design it in a vacuum.
This focus group is an opportunity to shape what that pathway becomes. After a brief overview of the program’s structure, the majority of the session will be dedicated to facilitated discussion. We need to hear what’s working in your current pipeline strategies, what’s falling short, and what an effective alternative pathway must include to earn the trust of districts, preparation programs, and the candidates themselves.
Whether you are a teacher mentoring the next generation, a district leader managing vacancies, or a student exploring how to enter the profession, your expertise is essential to getting this right. Join us to help inform the design of a more accessible on-ramp to teaching.
Sign up for the focus group using our online form. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.
Educators Rising National Conference Service Project
Join Us in Making a Meaningful Impact!
This year’s Conference Community Service Project invites every attendee to help uplift young people in our host community of Portland. We’re collecting essential toiletry items to support p:ear, (project: education ,art, recreation) an organization that builds positive relationships with homeless youth through education, art, wilderness recreation, and job training to affirm personal worth and create more meaningful and healthier lives.
At p:ear, they don’t set out to “fix” youth—they show up consistently, create space for creativity and self-discovery, and walk alongside young people as they build confidence, skills, and community. Their low-barrier programs center dignity, belonging and choice. Every contribution brings us one step closer to a more compassionate community.
Even the smallest donation can offer comfort, dignity, and hope to someone who needs it most.
How You Can Help
Please bring any of the following new, unopened items to the donation station in the game room at the 2026 Educators Rising National Conference:
- Shampoo & conditioner
- Body soaps & wipes
- Travel size toothpaste
- Toothbrushes
- Mouthwash
- Travel size deodorant
- Travel size lotion
- Pain relief medicines (Advil, ibuprofen, etc)
- Cough drops
- Brushes & combs
- Razors
- Fingernail clippers
- New socks (adult sizes, all genders)
Why It Matters
Daily hygiene items are often out of reach for the young people p:ear serves. Your generosity supports their well being and strengthens the care p:ear provides—helping youth feel seen, supported, and valued.
Let’s Make a Difference—Together
Thank you for bringing kindness with you to this year’s conference. With your support, we can help p:ear continue offering safety, dignity, and hope to the young people who need it most.
