The votes are in: The theme for the 2025 national conference in Orlando is “empowering tomorrow’s leaders.”
Educators Rising held its second annual student delegate meeting on Sunday at its annual conference. Student delegates weighed in on several matters of importance to the future of the organization, including bylaw changes and programming for next year’s annual conference. More than 90 designated voting delegates and national student leaders attended the meeting.
Participants had the opportunity to share their views on the various items on the agenda, and then they took a vote. The 2024 national student officers presided over the meeting, reading each action items aloud and addressing the delegates who lined up to comment on each of the items, and calling for the votes.
An overwhelming majority of students voted to approve empowering tomorrow’s leaders as the conference theme for 2025.

The student delegates also decided that the national service project for the 2025 conference will be collecting school supplies.
The delegates voted on two bylaw changes. They decided to add a statement to the bylaws to identify backup nominating committee members. Also they rejected a proposal to add the ability for community-based organizations to form Educators rising Chapters.
