Around and about Washington, D.C., photo contest
Posted on June 26, 2024

Going around and about D.C. while you’re at the conference? Then join our Educators Rising Photo Contest!

Whether you and your friends are social media mavens or great photogs ready to go pro, this opportunity is for you and your chapter! (Quite honestly, a huge share of the talent may go to the subjects in your photo, with their bright smiles and clever poses!)

What we’re looking for: Creative, dynamic photos that capture your chapter’s members against the backdrop of a Washington landmark. Think iconic government buildings, museums, monuments, or great vistas of our nation’s capital.

Interested in participating? Then be sure to download the Conference App. Use the photo-sharing component within the app to submit your photo (one per person) with the following details for the photo description:

  • #AaADC (Contest hashtag)
  • Name of the Photographer and Name of your School

The deadline for entries is Sunday, June 30, at 9 p.m. (We’ll send a reminder in the app.)

While editing is permitted, we’re looking for creativity with your photography, not your ability to apply filters.

Our social media team will sort through all entries by Monday morning and select up to 10 finalists. Then we’ll give conference attendees an opportunity to vote for their favs.

We’ll share the top entries on our Instagram account, @educatorsrising. And we’ll post details about the winner on Instagram and our Conference Daily blog.

You and your chapter are permitted to vote for your own entry. This contest is a great opportunity to showcase the energy and spirit of your chapter.

Good luck!
