The 2024 Educators Rising National Conference takes place at the Marriott Marquis Washington, D.C. Find your way around the hotel using the map in the program book and the Educators Rising conference app.

The Marriott Marquis is easily accessible from the three major airports listed below.

  • Washington National Airport – 6 miles (public transportation is available via the Metro Yellow Line to Mt Vernon Square/7th Street Convention Center). Transportation information.
  • Washington Dulles International Airport – 28 miles (public transportation is available via the Metro Silver Line to Metro Center and a 15-minute walk). Transportation information.
  • Baltimore/Washington International – 32 miles. Transportation information.

Parking at the conference hotel is valet only, with very few spaces available. Personal cars and vans can be parked at several nearby lots.

Make the most of your trip to Washington, D.C., by taking in the city’s historic sites, monuments, and museums. Many attractions, including the Smithsonian museums, are free of charge. Also, visit the Big Bus Tours site to receive a special discount of 25% off their city tours for conference attendees.

Summer weather in the nation’s capital is hot and humid. Mid or late day thunderstorms are common. To make sure you are prepared for the weather outside of the conference, we strongly suggest that all attendees bring an umbrella or rain poncho.

While it will be hot outside, air conditioning inside the hotel will be running for the duration of the conference in all areas. Make sure you bring a jacket or other covering to maintain comfort indoors.
